SEVIS Reporting Requirement

The U.S. government requires all new international students to report to their international office. This helps ensure that everything is in order with the student's immigration and entry paperwork.

But, it looks like you have not completed all the steps you need to report to the Office of International Services (OIS)! Learn how to start and finish this process below.

You need to complete this process or we will have to terminate your SEVIS record, which has very serious consequences.

After you take these steps, OIS will review your record, and then remove the A19 hold from your record. This will take 2-3 business days to complete.

Instructions if using the Atlas website:

• Go to Atlas, and sign in
• Towards the bottom of your screen look for the "Requests" section
• Click on the pre-arrival checklist
• Complete the Immigration Review form on the checklist
  • You will need to upload copies of, and provide information from, your I-94, passport, and visa stamp.
  • If you do not have access to this form, look at the previous forms in the checklist and make sure you have completed each one.

Instructions if using the Atlas mobile app:

• Open the IU Atlas app on your phone (called sunapsis on iOS devices), and sign in if necessary
• Click on the Requests button on the bottom right of the screen
• Click on the pre-arrival checklist
• Complete all the Immigration Review form on the checklist
  • You will need to upload copies of, and provide information from, your I-94, passport, and visa stamp.
  • If you do not have access to the Immigration Review form, look at the previous forms in the checklist and make sure you have completed each one.

Next steps:

After you submit all the forms, the Office of International Services will review your forms. If everything is correct with your record, we will remove the A19 hold. This process will take 2-3 business days.
